What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Our  Beliefs

We believe

The Scriptures are inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5;
Romans 16:25-26).

We believe

There is Only One True God – revealed in three persons... Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, commonly known as the Trinity. (1 John 5:7; Genesis 1:26 Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6;
Hebrews 3:7-11).

We believe

In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God's son Jesus was both human and divine. (John 1:1, 14, 20:28; 1 Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6, Philippians 2:5-6; 1 Timothy 2:5).

We believe

though originally good, Man Willingly Fell to Sin – ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world. (Genesis 1:31; Genesis 3:6)

We believe

Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God through 'Salvation' accepting Christ's offer of forgiveness for sin. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16, 3:8; Titus 3:5; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31; Hebrews 9:22).

We believe

and practice three ordinances — (1) Water Baptism by Immersion after repenting of one's sins and receiving Christ's gift of salvation, (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38) and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death for our salvation. (Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 16:16, Acts 8:12, 36-38, 10:47-48; 1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25). (3) Tithing and Stewardship (Malachi 3:10; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8; Proverbs 19:17), as expression of our love, honor and trust. (Matthew 6:21; Galatians 6:7).

We believe

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. (Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 2:11, Mark 16:17; Acts 1:5, 2:1-4, 17, 38-39, 8:14-17, 10:38, 44-47, 11:15-17, 19:1-6).

We believe

The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues’, as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.

We believe

Sanctification Initially Occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christ like. (1 Thessalonians 4:3, 5:23; 2 Corinthians 3:18, 6:14-18; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3; Romans 8:29, 2:1-2;
Hebrews 2:11).

We believe

in Healing and Deliverance as illustrated in the life and ministry of Jesus, and included in the commission of Jesus to His disciples. It is given as a sign, which is to follow believers. Healing and deliverance are also a part of Jesus’ finished work on the cross. (Psalm 103:2-3; Isaiah 53:5; Isaiah 61:1-3; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:17-18; Luke 4:18, Luke 5:17-25; Mark 16:16-18; Acts 8:6-7; James 5:14-16; 1 Corinthians 12:9, 28; Romans 11:29).

We believe

in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Bible lists of these gifts are not necessarily exhaustive, and the gifts may occur in various combinations. All believers are commanded to earnestly desire the manifestation of the gifts in their lives. The purpose of these gifts are to build and sanctify the church (believers), demonstrate the validity of the resurrection, and confirm the power of the Gospel. These gifts always operate in harmony with the scripture and should never be used in violation of biblical parameters. (Hebrews 2:4; Romans 1:11-12, 12:4-8; Ephesians 4:16, 2 Timothy 1:5-16, 4:14; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31, 14:1-40; 1 Peter 4:10).

We believe

in Family and Family Values. We define marriage as one woman and one man (Genesis 2:21-24; Deuteronomy 5:16, 18, 21; Matthew 19:4-6;). We define man and woman as they were created at birth, as described in Genesis 1:27.

We believe

in making Disciples and Equipping the Saints (Matthew 4:18-22; Luke 9:1-6; Matthew 28:19; Acts 6:7; 1 Timothy 1:2, 18-19). Including but not limited to the five-fold ministry gifts listed in Ephesians 4:11.

We believe

in the Second Coming. Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth for the second time to establish His Kingdom. This will occur at a date undisclosed by the Scriptures. (Matthew 24:30, 26:63-64; Acts 1:9-11; I Thessalonians 4:15-17; II Thessalonians 1:7-8; Revelation 1:7)

We believe

 in God's Will for Provision. It is the Father’s will for believers to become whole. But because of the fall, many may not receive the full benefits of God’s will while on Earth; yet they can still fully trust in Christ alone for His work of salvation and serve Him faithfully regardless of the circumstances in life. That fact, though, should never prevent all believers from seeking the full benefits of Christ’s provision in order to better serve others.

 Mental and Emotional: (2 Timothy 1:7, 2:11; Philippians 4:7-8; Romans 12:2; Isaiah 26:3, Isaiah 26:3; Matt. 22:37; Romans 12:2; 2 Timothy 1:7)

Physical: (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:17; I Peter 2:24)

We believe

Jesus through His death and resurrection triumphed completely over evil. Disarming the powers and authorities (Colossians 2:15). We are also aware of the devil who is the enemy of God and the enemy of mankind, particularly Christians. (1 Peter 5:8).
